• First things first!

  ★ This is independent multimuse RP blog for Yuya and his dimensional counterparts (plus Zarc) from YGO ARC-V. All five of them are roleplayed as canon with their default verse being post anime.

  ★ While I do play the four Yus in their manga verse, too, you'll have to specify if you want Yuya or the others in that verse instead. Manga verse isn't a default on this blog!

  ★ Also note, that while this is a multimuse blog and Yuto, Yugo, Yuri, and Zarc are fully interactable, because of ARC-V canon, Yuya will always act as the 'main muse'. Unless another muse is specified to answer, Yuya will almost always act as the 'default' muse for asks and random threads.

• Main RP partners / Exclusives.

  ★ While I'll always be up for rping with duplicates of the same muse, this blog does practice having main roleplay partners! These are typically the muses Yuya and the others will go to first or reference in specific posts, headcanons, and certain plots.

  ★ 'Mains' usually develop through interaction, both OOC and IC. If we interact a lot, then there's a very good possibility I'll consider you a 'main' for my muse.

  ★ That said, I very rarely (if ever) practice exclusives. I may have partners I prefer more quickly than others, but I won't ever turn down an interaction because of who I'm already interacting with.

• Shipping.

  ★ Yuya, Yugo, Yuto, Yuri, and Zarc are currenly (very selective) multiship.

  ★ My preferred ships for the Yu boys are with their respective bracelet girl (save Yuri who I don't really ship with anyone), but I ship chemistry! If a ship looks plausible, I honestly don't mind exploring it.

  ★ That said, I won't tolerate ships being forced on me or my muses and I'll immediately drop any threads where it happens. My Yus aren't here to be ship fodder, so don't assume I'm shipping with you.

  ★ Usually when I settle on a ship partner, they get priority to my muses in all canon/AU verses, but unless otherwise listed, all verses are considered their own seperate universes and ships between different muses don't interfer.

  ★ I typically prefer to ship my muses with canon characters from their series over OCs. Nothing against OCs! I just find them harder to work with in that kind of setting most of the time.

• Activity.

  ★ This blog is selective! Meaning I actively follow those I'm interested in roleplaying with and am more likely to interact with mutual followers.

  ★ I do have a life outside tumblr RP, so don't expect me to be around my blogs every second of the day. I'm usually good about replying to threads within a few days, but don't expect every draft to be done everyday.

  ★ My blog does post replies on a queued schedule when I have work or other activities that keep me from being online that day. These threads are usually marked with a queue tag.

  ★ Keep in mind that this blog isn't the only one I manage either! I run severel blogs within the YGO RP community, but this one and my Takeru are the two I'm on most often.

  ★ I don't ever expect my roleplayer partners to match the format or length of my threads. As long as you give me something to work with, we're good!

• Following.

  ★ To keep it simple: if I follow you, I definitely wanna rp with you!

  ★ That said, I also like to keep my dash clean and relevant to my fandom. I'm selective with who I follow, but if you're obviously putting effort into your muse, then I'm usually glad to see you on my dash!

  ★ I'll occasionally do random starters for followers, but don't expect them.

  ★ The best way to start up an interaction with me is to like one of my starter calls or send in a meme! I reblog these pretty regularlly, but jumping into my IMs is also a good way to start something too!

• NSFW.

  ★ While Yuya and the other muses on this blog (with the exception of Zarc) are still canonly underage, the mun behind the blog is 21+, so I'm cool with rping more adult themes in a setting where it makes sense.

  ★I'm not really into writing smut outside RP partners I've known OOC for forever however, but that doesn't mean I won't explore other areas of NSFW topics either. Violence, trauma, and other touchy subjects I'm typically okay with including in threads with a little plotting.

  ★I don't have any specific triggers I need tagged, but if I reblog something without tags and it's obviously triggering for you, let me know!

• Behind the muse!

  Hey there! I'm Kasa and I'm the dork behind this portrayal of the Yu boys! I'm a 21+ year old girl living on the east coast of the US who probably spends more time around her computer than she should!

  I work full time in a hospital as a lab tech, but my real passions are art, design, animation, concept, and graphics. I'm a self taught artist and web designer with enough experience in digital media to start my own class, but both are hobbies I've been pursuing since middle school.

  I’m a long time resident of the YGO RPC (and even longer resident of the tumblr rpc in general) so chances are you’ve probably seen some of my other muses around. I tend to hover around the Gx, Arc-V, and Vrains side of things more than anything though, so that's where you'll find my most active characters.

  Overall, I'm just here to have fun, so don't feel too intimidated to talk to me! I promise I’m one of the easiest people to get along with that you’ll ever meet.

  After Yuzu is taken and news breaks of an interdimensional war looming over the horizon, Yuya finds himself hopping between four different worlds as a member of Reiji’s ‘Lancers’ as he tries to rescue a friend and put an end to all the fighting. Though, things aren’t as simple as they sound and Yuya quickly finds out that he’s part of a plot that runs deeper than just an invading Academia and discovering three other people that mysteriously look like him.

  With Zarc defeated and Yuya back in his home dimension, things are starting to look up! He’s together with his friends and family, finally reunited with Yuzu again, and actually managed to pass his test to become a qualified Pro Duelist. Things are almost back to normal again: almost. Along with the memories of nearly ending the world plaguing him from time to time, he finds himself host to his three other counterparts. Yugo, Yuto, and Yuri have become a part of him, and despite not being able to return to their own dimensions like him, their consciousnesses live on inside of his subconscious.

  It'll take some getting used to, but Yuya's just thankful the worlds aren't being threatened by destruction anymore.

Aided by three ‘alternate personalities’ Yugo, Yuto, and Yuri, as well as a reluctant at first friendship with Yuzu Hiiragi, Yuya finds himself on a quest trying to solve the mysteries that seem to surround him, Reiji, and a third faction trying to hunt him down for G.O.D’s revival.

He’s a dream chaser with a plan and if winning is the only way to get ahead in City, then no one will get in his way of achieving his place among the Tops.

  Dimension hopping was something Yugo never planned to do, but with Rin kidnapped by Duel Academia for reasons unknown and Yugo determined to find her at any cost, being thrown between worlds with no control over where he lands is all Yugo can do in hopes of saving her. Though with his only way of travel between the worlds being at the mercy of his dragon, Clear Wing, it seems like he’s destined to find everything but a Rin for his troubles.

  As a fragment of Zarc that was destined to be reuinted with his other counterparts, Yugo finds himself a piece of Yuya’s subconscious after the events that lead eventually to peace between the four dimensions. Though it isn’t home and it’s definitely not the life he would’ve picked for himself, Yugo’s learning how to adjust to life within his counterpart. Though honestly, he’s just thankful that the four of them seem to be able to physically switch places and that he's still able to be control sometimes, even if only temporary.

  Once Maiami City’s Riding Duel Champion, Yugo now finds himself as one of three alternate ‘personalities’ inhabiting the body of Yuya Sakaki after an event that left their original world destroyed. Transported twenty years in the past from their original timeline, Yugo's left working with Yuya as he tracks down the power that is Genesis Omega Dragon all while secretly sabotaging Yuya’s memories to keep him from remembering who he really is.

  It's better if Yuya doesn't remember the two of them are actually brothers anyway; or that Yugo gave up his life in their original timeline to make sure Yuya stayed safe.

  Personality

  Yuya is the definition of a positive attitude. He's outgoing and cheerful, selfless and sympathetic, warm and welcoming with a bright outlook on life that was made for pleasing a crowd with his one-of-a-kind Dueltaining. He enjoys nothing more than showing off his energetic dueling skills and strives to follow in the footsteps of his father, Yusho Sakaki, in entertaining worlds alike with his performances.

  He's fun-loving and playful with a knack for being extremely theatrical and showy. He loves entertaining people, to the point where some even refer to his behavior as being ‘childish’ and ‘immature’ or as him not ‘taking things serious enough—but Yuya doesn’t mind. In fact, he wouldn’t have things any other way. He adores what he does and would rather go out of his way to make someone smile than to see anyone suffer.

  Despite being the embodiment of smiles and a positive attitude, however, Yuya actually suffers from a surprising lack of self-confidence. He’s come a long way, but when he finds himself cornered or stressed, he's prone to losing faith in himself and in his abilities. He tends to second guess himself and his methods a lot when this happens and has a bad habit of comparing himself to others who appear to be more successful than him, especially himself against his father's accomplishments.

  Fortunately, Yuya’s almost always able to pull himself out of these slumps by remembering a life lesson his father once told him: “When things get tough, respond with a smile.” They seem to always give Yuya just the confidence boost he needs to take another step forward.

  At A Glance:

  ★ Because Yuya houses each of his counterparts within his subconscious, it’s possible that Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri could make appearances in his threads. Though Yuya acts like the main personality, he’s able to talk to and communicate with each of his other three counterparts at will and vice versa.

  ★ Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri are able to influence Yuya’s decisions and actions, though only under rare circumstances do they ever fully take control of their shared physical body. Though they have the ability to, they often act like Yuya’s inner voices over forcing control and usually leave Yuya to act on his own unless something triggers one of them strong enough for one of the three to respond.

  ★ Though Yuya has the ability to interact and communicate with his counterparts, it's extremely rare for most people to be able to do the same outside a very select few. Most of the time, Yuto, Yugo, or Yugo's reactions are strictly relayed through Yuya unless there's a reason for one of them to make their presence known otherwise.

  ★ Out of the four, Yuya is definitely the most theatrical and acrobatic. The skills go hand in hand with his passion for Entertainment Duels and his love for leaping and bounding across a dueling arena is something he's been exposed to for most of his life from watching his own father entertain.

  Growing up in the oppressed Commons sector of Neo Domino City’s low income slums, Yugo never let his rough childhood drag down his fiery personality. He’s a duelist with a determined spirit and eyes set on dreams that soar much higher than the Tops buildings overshadowing the rough and dark world he’s been forced to live in his entire life. In a city where societal movement is based purely on competition alone, he’ll definitely need all the bold and energetic passion he can muster if he wants to make it to the land of the rich and wealthy.

  Along with his outspoken attitude comes a bit of a temper, though. Yugo’s known by most to be impatient with a short fuse, especially against people who mispronounce his name or mistakes him for someone he's not. He’s very rough and physical in nature, not hesitating to pick a fight when his emotions get too flared, even before he’s given himself time to think his actions through. Along with that, Yugo also has a habit of speaking his mind, often blurting out whatever springs into his head first without stopping to ask himself if its appropriate.

  Fortunately for his sake, Yugo’s able to realize when his words and actions go too far, too. He’s not above apologizing when he realizes his behavior may have hurt someone unintentionally and will often be the first to admit he’s messed up, ususally instantly offering to fix the problem before there’s a chance things could get any worse. Fueled by recognition and attention like most of his societal class are as he aims for the Tops, he truly does have a heart of pure gold.

  ❱❱ Yugo is a Riding Duelist from the Synchro Dimension's Neo Domino City. He has a fascination with D-Wheels, dueling, anything that goes fast, and is actually a pretty good mechanic in his own right. Both him and Rin built the D-Wheel he used to compete in the Friendship Cup with from scratch, and before it was destroyed, he constantly worked to make sure their bike stayed up to spec.

  ❱❱ Out of the four, Yugo is the loudest and most rambunctious. He's extrememly outgoing, extra friendly, and easy to get along with, despite his short temper and even shorter attention span. He tends to embrace the motto of 'act first, think later' though and has a habit of saying whatever comes to mind first. Yugo's never had much of a verbal filter.

  ❱❱ People poking fun or mispronouncing his name is a bit of a sore spot for Yugo, especially so when he's teasingly referred to as 'Fusion'. ( 'Yuugou'; the Japanese pronunciation for 'fusion' is extremely close to his own name 'Yuugo'). He'll instantly snap at anyone who makes this mistake; whether on purpose or otherwise.

  ❱❱ Yugo's most prized possession, his D-Wheel, acts as his duel disk. His D-Wheel itself is a ‘hybrid-model’ motorcycle-like dueling vehicle capable of connecting with his duel disk during Turbo/Riding Duels that both him and Rin worked hard to build together. It loosely resembles the shape of a hornet with a white frame, sharp gold details, and black stripes. His duel disk can be connected to a plate just below his handlebars during Turbo Duels and can later be disconnected to use like a typical duel disk during ‘Ground Duels’ away from his D-Wheel.

  ❱❱ In Post-Canon verses, Yugo no longer has access to his D-Wheel after it was destroyed during events in the Fusion Dimension. Instead, he uses the same duel disk he connected with his D-Wheel as a stand alone disk in its place.

  Growing up in the Xyz Dimension's Heartland City, life always seemed to be good to Yuto. Surrounded by peace and people who promted Dueling both a fun and entertaining pasttime, there wasn't much Yuto had to worry about other than his academic grades and his advancement through the Spade Branch side of Heartland's dueling school. He had both friends and Ruri by his side. Life couldn't have been better—before the Fusion Dimension had decided to invade.

  Suddenly, Yuto was thrown into a land of war and forced to take on responsibilities a fourteen year old should've never had to worry about. From a fun loving place, Heartland was catapulted into chaos and flung into a constant battle of fight or flight for its citizens. It was either run and hide or stay and defend their city from the soldiers invading their home.

  Despite being rather introverted, Yuto is a natural born leader. He's determined and decisive with a passion for making sure everyone around him is well taken care of before he switches his attention to something else. He puts people first, especially his friends and those he cares about. He's a true guardian and isn't afraid to stand up and fight for someone less fortunate if he believes it's the right thing to do.

  Yuto also has a sweet side, though unlocking this softer Yuto that only a few people ever get to see is a real challenge in itself. He's guarded, especially around people he doesn't know, and it takes awhile for him begin trusting a person enough to open up. Befriending him takes patience, especially when he acts like he wants nothing to do with you from the start.

  There's no mistaking Yuri—and if you do mistake him for someone else, he'll make sure you never do again. He thrives off of attention and recognition, and as the Professor's chosen and one of the best duelists at Duel Academia, he has more than enough power and skill to back up all of his threats.

  Yuri is the text book definition of a 'spoiled brat.' He's opinionated and sarcastic, stubborn and blunt. He's extremely self-entitled to the point of acting disappointed when everything doesn't work out in his favor and will stop at nothing to get exactly what he wants, regardless of how this affects the people around him. He's antagonistic and enjoys prodding other people and their feelings simply for the amusement in their reaction.

  Yuri does exactly what Yuri wants to do. He answers to no one (with Yuya being the only exception post canon) and won't listen to anyone else's advice until he sees good reason to. Before his place with Yuya, he carded other duelists simply because 'it was fun and he wanted to', where as other soldiers were sent out on orders to do the same thing. Ultimately, Yuri isn't anything short of 'a handful'.

  If there's one good thing to say about Yuya's Fusion counterpart though, it's that Yuri's dedicated to his cause, whatever that might be. His goals might not always be morally right, but once Yuri's set his sights on something, he's often commited enough to follow through—which is typically bad for anyone on the receiving end of his threats. He's persistent and will often hound a target until they simply can't take any more of his attitude.

Leo was always quick to praise Yuri for his dueling skills, but never against his bad behavior or bad habits resulting in an attitude that's selfish, spoiled, and overwhelmingly demanding.

  ❧ Yuri never had the luxury of having any real friends at Duel Academia because of his school-wide reputation. Serena and Dennis were the closest relationships he ever had to true 'friends' while there and even those were fickle at best.

  ❧ Yuri isn't at all ashamed of his sarcastic, antagonizing personality and will often go out of his way to pick on and tease other people simply for his own amusement. He thinks it's fun and is beyond entertained when he's able to remind anyone of their place beneath him.

  Competitive and demanding, Zarc’s most defining trait is his pride. There’s no mistaking he’s a passionate Entertainment Duelist with a knack for proving he’s the best—and he loves nothing more than being able to demonstrate he’s got the skills to back up his threats, too. Zarc’s threats aren’t just for show. He’s a skilled Duelist that won’t hesitate to do whatever it takes to give his audience the entertainment they demand.

  Despite his overbearing attitude now though, Zarc wasn’t always a power hungry Dueltainer with a thirst for revenge and status. Before his audiences started demanding more and more violent duels to fuel their satisfaction, Zarc was a passionate duelist that wanted nothing more than to see his crowds entertained by his performances. He held respect for his opponents and their monsters and a smile was worth more than injuries and blood ever were.

  Unfortunately for him, his audiences and their greed eventually pushed Zarc into abandoning his sense of sympathy and forced him to accept the violence they craved in their matches. Fueled by the promise of power and the expectation that he needed to keep winning, Zarc wholeheartedly accepted these new conditions to be able to give his fans exactly what they wanted from him: an all powerful duelist that no one could outmatch.

  Egotistical and ambitious, Zarc is a duelist pushed to the edge by his audience. He’s aggressive and unpredictable, conniving yet smooth with a personality that could entertain an audience for weeks. He’s no longer a good person; if agreeing to merge with his dragons for the sake of power even entitles him to being called a ‘person’ anymore at all, but even he’s scared of something, too.

  Losing. More than even his rivalry with Ray, Zarc hates to lose.

  At A Glance:

  ☆ Zarc is the original incarnation of Yuya, Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri before an event with Ray caused his consciousness to be split into four fragments across the four dimensions. Because of this, he embodies all the traits that are easily recognizable in the Yu’s and their personalities.

  ☆ Zarc is an extremely devoted Entertainment Duelist. He lives to please his audience and will stop at nothing to give those watching his duels exactly what they cheer for—even if that means physically harming his opponents in the process.

  ☆ He was also the original owner and user of Yuya and his counterpart’s ace dragons, too—the only difference being Zarc commanded Odd-Eyes Dragon instead of Yuya’s Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon.

  ☆ Gifted with a unique ability that allows him to ‘hear’ Duel Monsters, Zarc can pick up on and understand the intentions of the monsters themselves. This isn’t the same as seeing Duel Monster spirits, however, as the monsters usually have to be rendered via Solid Vision before he’s able to ‘communicate’ with them.

  ☆ Zarc has an ego—and a big one at that. He’ll do whatever it takes to get ahead and often loves bragging about himself and his skills once he does. He isn’t a force to be taken lightly though; he definitely has the power to back up his attitude and loves it best when people realize this.

  ☆ Zarc’s extremely goal driven and competitive, almost to the point of being obsessed with winning.

  ☆ Zarc's only true rival—and the only competition he's actually recognize as ‘competition’—is Ray. She’s the only one who’s managed to truly outmatch him in skill, which is why she’s earned a piece of Zarc’s undivided attention. Though their relationship is strained at best, Zarc will almost always put out competing Ray over everything else.

  ☆ That said, Zarc is actually amused by Ray’s stubbornness and disdain for him, too. He treats her attitude like a competition in itself; a part of him actually wanting her attention all for himself.

  'The Phantom' Yuya Sakaki

  Much like his anime self, Yuya in his manga verse is a bright and energetic young teen with a love for entertaining. He's an eager Dueltainer, believes that duels should only be used to bring smiles and happiness to people, and dueling that's used for pain and suffering isn't in the true nature of the game. He's clever and adaptable, able to hold his own in the most intense of Action Duels, and shows himself to be skilled in escape and sleight of hand techiniques.

  Similar to his anime counterpart, he's sympathetic and tends to show a level of concern for everyone he meets. He has a sarcastic streak with a habit of going out of his way to be showy for the sake of his performance whenever he has the opportunity, but also knows exactly how far he can push his own limits. He's friendly and outgoing, even to people that have opposite ideologies or differing view points than his own, making him easy for most to get along with.

  Unlike his anime self, however, Yuya in his manga verse is skilled at withholding information. He doesn’t like sharing personal secrets with most on where he’s from or why he’s around and tends to keep topics regarding himself vague and very broad—though whether he’s holding out for personal reasons or because he doesn’t remember all the details is left for most to decide. He has a mysterious air around him to those that pick up on hints of his less than simple past, though Yuya tends to mask by his friendly personality and warm smile.

  Outside his dueling, Yuya enjoys magic tricks and tinkering with objects related to the Solid Vision systems. He’s skilled at crafting counterfeit objects (like the fake IDs both Yuzu and Yuto used to sneak past security at the Leo Corp) and custom Solid Vision items (like the booster unit he used on Yugo’s D-Wheel) with added abilities to hack into and manipulate the dueling system itself.

  Yuto, Yugo, Yuri

  Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri are often referred to as 'the Phantom's other personalities'. The three of them were trapped inside Yuya's consciousness after Genisis Omega Dragon and the triggered World Illusion destroyed their home in their future timeline. Although they're 'stuck' within Yuya, each of the three have the ability to shift physical places with Yuya to appear in his place.

  Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri aren't just 'Yuya's other selves', however. They're also his older brothers; three older brothers who've sworn to protect their younger sibling from whatever life throws at him no matter the cost. If Yuya's in danger, it's almost guaranteed that one of the other three will be quick to jump in and take his place for Yuya's sake.

  Note

  Because Yuya and his three other 'personalities' are so intertwined in the manga (even more so than in the anime), it's entirely possible for Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri to make random appearances during threads, too. The four of them have the ability to switch physical places with each other at will to fit the situation, even though only one of them is able to interact with the outside world at any given time.

  While one has control of their shared physical body, the other three act like inner voices in the background of the others’ self conscious and typically aren’t able to be seen or heard by anyone else.

  Currently

  This verse follows the events of the on-going manga and Yuya's current whereabouts (especially for askbox related interactions) coincide with the latest chapter. On-going threads won't be affected, but should Yuya or one of the other three become unavailable in the manga’s story, they’ll also become unavailable for interaction in the verse.
